MAPLE LEAF GOLF COURSE PATIO EXPANSION & LANDSCAPING  -  Linwood Layout and detailing for the outdoor patio expansion to add a grill area, bar service, and food service.  Our pavement plan and planting plan integrate the project with the existing golf course, clubhouse, and patio areas. MCLAREN VISITING NURSE & HOSPICE EXPANSION OF BRIAN'S HOUSE  -  Bay City Our design of the walks, waterfall, plantings, irrigation, lighting, and site amenities around this expansion provides welcome outdoor respite areas for the patients, their visitors, and support staff.  Our firm's graphics were used for fundraising purposes.  Views out of the patient rooms were enhanced while simultaneously screening the service areas.  The plantings include numerous perennials and bulbs to provide seasonal flower color from spring through fall.  Accent lighting and sculptural pieces add winter interest.  Link to Brian's House

DEPARTMENT OF VETERANS AFFAIRS -- MENTAL HEALTH FACILITY Saginaw Township We designed a low-maintenance planting plan and lawn seeding specifications for the builder / owner of this new facility.  We provided periodic site checks to facilitate a compressed timeline for the landscape installation.

IOSCO COUNTY MEDICAL CARE FACILITY EXPANSION - Tawas City For the garden space overlooked by the dining room as well as patient rooms, we provided design plans for the walkway layout, landscape grading, plantings, bio-retention, and fiber optic lighting. We detailed the fountain and waterfall, a bridge and stream, and an entry arbor.  During the installation, we provided project management services.

SCHAEFER & BIERLEIN PLATZ - Frankenmuth This new vehicle display provides the local Chrysler dealership with a highly visible corner location.  Designscapes, Inc. was responsible for all design work with this project, from preliminary concepts through detailing for the retaining walls, pavements, display towers, grading, plantings, and lighting.  Elements were chosen to coordinate with Frankenmuth's streetscape and to create a park-like setting. We solicited bids for masonry/flatwork, carpentry, electrical, asphalt, landscape, irrigation, and flagpoles.  During the construction phase, we provided project management services to the owner.  Project was completed on time and on budget.     Link to Schaefer & Bierlein Chrysler Dodge Jeep

NORTH CENTER MEDICAL OFFICE BUILDING – Saginaw Township Plans for site grading, plantings, and a water feature. The project emphasized storm water retention by directing roof water into a series of planted swales. Plants were selected for suitability with the varying soil moisture levels. FRANKENMUTH CREDIT UNION – Frankenmuth Design for main sign, plans for site plantings, and bid documents for competitive bidding by local contractors. Link to Frankenmuth Credit Union

FRANKENMUTH RIVER PLACE Design and project management for the entire site, including three major water features moving a total of 3,600 gallons per minute. This project also included 1100 tons of limestone to construct retaining walls and pathways to two boat docks along the Cass River.      More project info     Link to River Place

BERM PLANTINGS – Saginaw Township Site inventory and planting plans for 3700 lineal feet of existing berms between a residential neighborhood and an expanded Wal*Mart, to increase screening from noise, light, and traffic.

ZEHNDER'S CORPORATION PROPERTIES -- Frankenmuth Includes Zehnder's Restaurant, Fortress Golf and Country Club, Splash Village (formerly Bavarian Haus Motel), various retail shops.   Master plan for landscape renovations; design annual flower beds; assist with installation and maintenance of landscape.      Link to Zehnder's

BUOY 18 MINIATURE GOLF – Bay City Landscape and irrigation design for hilly terrain created entirely from fill sand and covered with concrete paths and mountains. The plant palette (shrubs, perennials, annuals, and temporary tropical plants) maximizes visual interest during the play season.

DDA STREET TREE PLANTINGS – Kochville Township We developed landscape plans, selected street trees, and created planting details and specifications.  This work updated and enhanced the new intersections, creating an identity for this commercial corridor.  We collaborated with Spicer Engineering on this project.
